This song represents the long path for me gaining the confidence to accept and embrace my true ambitions. It’s tough to acknowledge and work for the things you want in life. This task only increases in difficulty I find as you get older and the pressure to grow up, get a job, and contribute to society get stronger. Well, I did and currently still am doing all those things, and those that find true happiness and satisfaction through accomplishing those tasks, great. It’s just not enough for me. Even making that last sentence public feels wrong to me in the moment. That’s the reason why the other character is illustrated as a demon when the truth is they represent my ambitions.
