With this song and this whole project really being a reflection on the concept of a social life, I chose to be represented by a faceless person. To me, in all facets of life, your face is the first indicator of your emotional state. Whether it be a smile, frown, or anywhere in between, a person’s facial expression sets the tone for all perception of who and how they are at any given time.
That’s why it’s great when you have a truly close group that cares for you because most people in general typically only want to know you’re okay enough to keep the facade of the moment going, so we all learn to put whatever face we need on. To me, we’ve all in a way reached a point where it doesn’t matter what face we make.
